John Banach
Qualifications
BA (Hons) Computer Science
Teaching Philosophy
"Computer Science is fundamentally about thinking — breaking problems down, recognising patterns, and building solutions that are both correct and elegant. My training on Cambridge's Computer Science course taught me that great software engineers are made through deep understanding of algorithms, systems, and theory, not just familiarity with the latest framework. I help students develop that foundation."
Teaching Style
Theory-first and project-driven. I ground every concept in real code, moving from first principles to working implementations so students can reason about computation abstractly and build with confidence.

What students say
"John's preparation for the TMUA and my Cambridge Computer Science interview was outstanding. He pushed me to think algorithmically and articulate my reasoning clearly. I secured my place at Cambridge."
"My daughter's grasp of data structures and algorithms improved enormously. John made abstract concepts tangible through well-chosen projects and clear, rigorous explanations."
